Welcome to EvE -
The Evolution and Ecology Forum is a meeting platform for scientists working in the broad field of evolution and ecology in Tübingen. We organise joint research and teaching, scientific meetings and public events.
Tübingen offers strengths in in evolution and ecology at a broad range of scales in time (fossil, recent), space (laboratory, local, regional and global) and organisational level (genes, individuals, populations, communities). We combine the expertise of researchers from several faculties (Biology, Geology and Palaeontology, Archaeology and Cultural Sciences, Max-Planck-Institute of Developmental Biology, Medicine, Informatics).
With the foundation of EVEREST (Evolution and Ecology Research School Tübingen) in Oktober 2013, we will connect evolutionary disciplines even further. PhD students can benefit from excellent supervision and networking within EVEREST.
All our events are open to the interested public. -> How to stay in touch...
The current speakers for EvE/EVEREST are:
Prof. Johannes Krause (Geology – Paleogenetics)
Prof. Nico Michiels (Biology – Animal Evolutionary Ecology).
